Why Chasing Your Purpose Is Actually Holding You Back
BREAK FREE FROM THE ENDLESS CHASE AND EMBRACE YOUR TRUE CALLING
I know how you feel, soul seeker.
Your entire life, you've felt this pull inside. This yearning to find out why you're here. You've always known you came to this planet with a really specific mission. And everything you've been doing is try to understand what that mission is.
Every second you've spent learning more about yourself,
Every book you've read to get more answers,
Every person you've sought to help you make sense of that pull,
Every program you've enrolled in to get closer to your purpose,
Every job you've tried to see if it was the right choice.
But everything has left you with more questions than answers. And with each passing day, the pressure goes up. But the feeling remains the same - "I needed to have figured out my purpose by now. I can't waste more time."
Your whole life has felt like a race, a never-ending chase. Time has been running out since you were born, and the finish line seems further away with every step.
But chasing your purpose is precisely what's holding you back. In fact, that's how you're scaring your purpose away.
I know finding your purpose is the most important thing for you. It's what keeps you going. The driver behind everything that you do. You’ve been dreaming of a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling. A life in which your soul pull finally makes sense, and you’re doing what you were always meant to do. A life in which you no longer have any doubt about your path and you’re contributing to humanity like you’ve always wanted to. A life in which you’re creating a new paradigm, a new reality.
You can get there. And it doesn't have to be hard; you can do things differently.
The pressure of time running out is what’s creating that never-ending chase. You feel that you don’t have enough time, which pushes you to run towards where you want to get, to chase that thing you’re trying to find.
And the energy of that chase is rooted in fear - of not finding your purpose, of being too late, of not fulfilling your mission - and lack of trust - in yourself, in your soul and in the Universe.
This combination of pressure, fear, and lack of trust is what creates the chase that’s holding you back from finding your purpose.
And the more you chase your purpose, the farther away it goes.
The more desperately you want to find your purpose, the less you're going to see the clues that are just in front of you.
Desperately pursuing your purpose just repels it.
It's not the vibration of someone that knows and trusts that every step is guiding them there, of someone that has found their purpose. So instead of taking you closer to it, it does the opposite.
Chasing something so intensely only emphasises the fact that you don't have it.
What we think, we create.
What we focus on, expands.
The more you focus on the fact that you haven't found your purpose, the more you're going to have that in your life. You're perpetuating the reality in which you don't know your purpose.
The key aspect here is to shift the chase. To do the opposite of what the pressure tells you to do. To stop running and move from chasing to receiving. To change your vibration from desperation to trust. And to stop focusing on what you don’t have. That will shift everything else.
Here are a few examples on how you can do that:
Listen to your soul more than your mind. In fact, don't listen to your mind.
Pause before acting.
Teach your body and nervous system that it's okay and safe to slow down and pause.
Be really intentional about every step you take.
Accept your current situation and trust your path.
Switch your focus from “I haven’t found my purpose” to “my purpose is on its way”.
Not chasing your purpose doesn't mean that you're not moving towards it. You'll find your purpose by attracting it to you.
You're chasing something outside when everything you need is inside.
What you're trying to find is already within you. Your soul already knows what you're trying to figure out. You know that.
It's not so much about finding, but remembering.
It's not so much about going after what you want, but allowing yourself to receive it.
It’s not about the chase, but about the pause and the listening.
That’s the opposite of what the pressure of time running out is telling you to do. To pause and listen. And then take action listening to your soul.
You don't get to your purpose, your purpose comes to you.
You don't follow x steps and suddenly you've got your purpose in front of you. You follow the guidance of your soul and one day it'll tell you why you're here. All the pieces will click together.
This is about shifting your perspective.
Switch your focus.
Release the chase.
Allow yourself to receive your purpose.
Think and move like someone that trusts that every step is leading them towards it.
And move listening to your soul, not your mind.
You know how to follow your soul, you've done it plenty of times. Don't think too much about it, just follow the pull.
You’re closer than you think.
